What is HEROES FOR HEROES?
HEROES
FOR HEROES is a project of IMA Hero/StarRise Creations to support injured military personnel and their families and benefit
the Armed Services YMCA at the Naval Medical Center San Diego and Camp Pendleton.
2. How are you supporting the children of U.S. Military Families?
IMA Hero Teddy Bears, created by StarRise Creations, are being donated to
the Armed Services YMCA at the Naval Medical Center San Diego and Camp Pendleton for distribution to the soldiers in the wounded wards
and their children through a variety of their outreach programs.
These
children in military families are experiencing the current Iraq/Afghanistan War by enduring the deployment of a
family member or the return of an injured loved one.
3. Who
is StarRise Creations?
StarRise
Creations is a San Diego based company which began in 1999 to
create fun and educational products for children. Their first product was
the IMA Hero Teddy Bear. You can find out more at www.imahero.com.
4. What is the IMA Hero Teddy Bear?
The IMA Hero Teddy Bear is a cute, cuddly, plush teddy bear named for people
in history such as Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin, and Florence Nightingale. They serve as examples of heroic people
who have faced challenges in their lives.
5. Tell me more about the Naval Medical Center San Diego.
Located on Florida Drive, adjacent to Balboa Park, Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) is the most technologically
advanced Navy Medical treatment facility. Nicknamed, Balboa, the Pride of Navy Medicine, the hospital has played a vital
role in the history of San Diego for more than 80 years.
Along
with Walter Reed Hospital in Washington D.C. and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonia, Texas, the facility in San Diego
will have state of the art equipment to meet the special needs of the returning military injured in the current Iraq/Afghanistan

6. Tell me more about Camp Pendleton Armed Services YMCA.
The Camp Pendleton Armed Services YMCA is a civilian non-profit organization
located on the Camp Pendleton Military Base. Their mission is to enhance the lives of military personnel and their family
members in Spirit, Mind and Body. In cooperation with the Base Commands, the Armed Services YMCA offers programs and services
which strengthen families and encourage individuals to achieve their fullest potential. You can find out more at: www.camppendletonasymca.org

8. How many IMA Hero Teddy Bears are you planning on distributing?
Heroes For Heroes plans to distribute 15,000 IMA Hero
Teddy Bears.

Will any of the money raised go for administrative costs?
NO. All of the money raised will go for the IMA Hero Bears. No money is
being spent for administrative costs.10. How can I contribute?
